two things:
-
Establishing and promoting
a proper relationship between you and your dog
-
A way of communicating
so that your dog understands your commands and those commands
have a meaning.
The aim of this basic obedience training

solving behavourial problems. There will be partical exercises
covered which are practical skills needed by the dog which are
commands such as
- Sit - Dogs will learn to sit on command
as well as to come to an automatic sit when you come to a stop.
- Recall - Teaches the dog to come
back to you on command.
- Down - The dog will lie down on command
from sit position. During intermediate stages of exercises,
a hand signal is used as a visual aid.
- Close - The dog will assume to close position

- Restrain - In this exercise, the dog will
learn how to be handled and examined. This is useful in establishing
our dominance by restraining the dog as well as to build up
the dog's confidence in being handled and examined.
- Stays- The dog will stay on his position.
- Heel on Lead - The dog will learn how
to walk by your side without pulling on the lead. This is an
important exercise as your dog will learn how to concentrate
on you and your commands.
- Social Walking - The dog learns how to
walk at a full length of the lead without pulling. This allow
your dog to sniff and walk in a relaxed manner. This will be
your general mode of walking your dog when you are not training
it.
